Thank you, Lindsey, for such a clear explanation of where we are now. More power to your elbow / hoping you manage to bring some of the negotiators together effectively.

And the fast for the climate impacted Paris along with the prayers. We would like to invite people around the world to Fast For the Climate on November 1st. - as the COP begins. Miracles can happen!

This has been excellent. Wonderful response Lindsay thank you. Im wondering - comparatively prosaically(!) - what spiritual/wellbeing/sanctuary spaces are going to be in place at COP in any of the zones, and what involvement are faith groups being allowed to make? (I recall somewhat disappointingly a proposed Wellbeing, Creative Dialogue and Sanctuary space in the blue zone wasn't approved by UK govt.

01:48:40
@Joy - one fast day during COP would be strong! Which organisation did you do this with before?

We will also have a page where all the streams that we find will be linked to - alongside a ‘what’s on’ so that people who are not at COP can choose events - of a mix from those events in blue zone and outside Cop in civil society spaces

Also delighted to say so many places of worship are opening there doors every day for all coming to Glasgow, also wonderful prayerful pilgrimages and Interfaith Scotland and Interfaith Glasgow, Edinburgh Interfaith and many local interfaith groups will be praying, holding events and being totally present
Kat Jones (SCCS)
01:51:57
Communities throughout Scotland who are too far to travel to COP will be streaming events to community halls and combining with their own events and creating a ‘cop in the community’ which links the global wit the local

Hi Angela, I am so sorry too that this was not given space. I don't know what the negotiation space will look like. I think the inter-faith efforts in Glasgow will be very important - see Maureen's words!
Angela Lombardi
01:52:29
Thanks. Could it be explained in a line or 2 what access we in civil society have to any of the zones, if any, without having booked specific spaces, or been granted permits/;lanyards etc? (Im very clueless about this!)
Kat Jones (SCCS)
01:52:51

Yes thanks Im aware there are unofficial 'fringe' spcaes, IF and otherwise, but wondering specifically about official COP space?
Angela Lombardi
01:55:33
Ive not seen confirmation of the 31/10 gathering yet on the IFS/SIF websites, has this now been confirmed?
Lindsey Fielder Cook, Quakers United Nations Office
01:55:45
At the moment I am not aware, but others might be, of anything more than the normal 'prayer' room which in the past has not been the kind of open, nourishing space we might seek.
David Somervell
01:55:55
@Angela Lombardi - I do know that Glasgow Quaker Meeting House will be reserved as a quiet space for all to reflect on the proceedings … and that all will be welcome - just a short walk from the Conference venue
